Covid! Can someone clarify rules

Hi everyone!

I'm a single mother to a 17 month old! Have managed to avoid Covid thus far but have woken up with a sore throat so thought I'd do a lateral flow before work! It's come up positive! Should I keep my daughter off too? I don't want to lateral flow test her and she hasn't go a temp but there is no way of dropping her off unless I do it! I also feel terrible, as I went into the nursery yesterday (obviously I didn't have symptoms or think I had Covid then). Any help greatly appreciated!

I wouldn’t, we’re carrying on regardless now.

Let the nursery know as you were in yesterday and ask if they are happy with you wearing a mask and dropping 5 minutes later and collecting 5 minutes earlier so that you can avoid others. Hope you don't feel too ill with it Thanks

I would phone them up and let them make the call. The guidance at the moment is non existent, cases are rising but we are meant to live with covid.
Explain you’d be the one dropping her so perhaps someone could meet you outside. I think they will say to keep her off if she has any symptoms whatsoever or maybe even if she doesn’t. Hope you feel better soon!

The guidance is she can go into but you shouldn’t go out, this is guidance not law. The nursery however may have their own rules.

Thank you everyone for your helpful replies and good wishes! I just emailed them and asked what their guidance is! Little one seems to have a cough, so probably best to keep her off with me too! Just wish I'd done a shop first haha! Thanks everyone, really appreciate it xxx
