Does this sound normal?

My 8 month old I’ve noticed since he has been born when he is sleeping sometimes he is loud breathing in and out not snoring and then goes quiet. Is this normal for babies breathing to change like that during sleep? Otherwise he seems healthy! First time parent so don’t have any other babies to compare it too, he is 8 months old. It worried me as for the first time in 5 months his snuza hero did a low level beeping alert, it wasn’t the loud one where it falls of the nappy it was little a slow loud beeping alert and I don’t know what that is meant to mean whether it’s battery needs changing or it detects unusual breathing but it didn’t go off loud as it would if it detected nothing as it was a low level beeping alert which I am not sure what it was meant to be for? His breathing isn’t harboured this has been happening for months just wondering if that sounds normal?

Thank you Smile

Record it and show it to your GP asap...I cant remember what its called but I saw something as you've described on tiktok and ended up being a concern. Could be nothing though but just to be sure get it checked.

All breathing concerns should be check out. Mine definitely change sleep sounds but that seemed to linked with going into a deeper sleep so I won’t panic but to be on the safe sidw get it checked out.

Sounds like it could be obstructive sleep apnea, my son had his tonsils and adenoids removed to help with this. Talk to you GP they should be able to help.
