How long to wait for a vaccine after being ill?

My 2 year old is currently at the tail end of roseola. This last week has made my mind up re chicken pox vaccine and I’d like to get him vaccinated, ideally before he starts nursery at the end of April.

I know it requires 2 doses but 1 in time for nursery will be better than none!

Does anyone know how long we should leave it before booking the vaccine?

Call your GP to confirm, but I would say a month is a safe bet. This is the rule for getting a covid booster if you have had covid.

As long as they are not on antibiotics/ have a temp it’s fine. Be aware that they can’t be near pregnant women and people with weakened immune systems for a while afterwards.
