So my twins didn’t take to breastfeeding despite 14 weeks of trying to teach them to latch etc and I’ve been pumping alongside to keep up supply and give it to them in bottle…I’ve had enough now and never made e going for them both so been trying to wean off pump…after 3 weeks I’d managed to reduce pumps to half the number I was doing but amount expressed was the same. So I reduced how much I was pumping each time but developed clots almost daily and now have mastitis as I couldn’t get one out quickly enough with usual tricks. To treat that I now have to pump every 2-3 hours alongside antibiotics. Would welcome any advice on anything others have succeeded with so it doesn’t take months to wean.
