Baby hat recommendations?

Hi mums. Any recommendations for good summer baby hats? I'm looking for something with a visor, the flappy neck sun protection, with upf 50 and also, importantly, something that baby can't take off easily! Thank you!

I might be missing something but aren't hats all the same? The only real difference is legionnaire style vs bucket style vs baseball cap. And UV protection or not.

There is no such thing as a hat they can't take off unfortunately.

Unfortunately, I think 'good' partly depends on the baby in question. Legionnaire-style is great for sun protection – unfortunately DD absolutely wouldn't tolerate one. The winner for us was a hat with a broad brim all the way around, big enough to shade her full neck and face, but stiff enough not to flop/wiggle around in her field of vision. On the plus side, she wore the same style without complaint the next summer as a toddler.

This is helpful I guess there's a bit of trial and error involved? In general our baby doesn't tolerate hats very well so I am sensing this won't be an easy one for us! 😂

I found a great one in tesco has a little chin strap to help keep on. My baby had a couple of pulls at it but soon got bored. What I did do is put it on him while in the house to try and get him used to hats in general.

H&M do great linen ones with ties so it can't be pulled off. My daughter has red hair and her one kept her cool and sunburn free last summer. They also have some lovely cotton one this year too.

Defo H&M ones that tie under the chin, sainsburys had some good ones last year too.

I just bought one of these and think it's great, and it looks v cute too!

Thanks ladies. I picked one of Amazon that had good reviews and a neck tie to make sure it doesn't come off. Let's see how it goes!
