Would you stop visiting a friend who had a dirty house?

As the title says really!
Friend is a lovely person - so are the children but the dirt!!!
I can't bear itShock kitchen, bathroom and car are particularly bad.
I don't want to visit the house anymore

Anyone else had similar experience?

Yes, I stopped going to a friends house that was both overcrowded with stuff and also unhygienic. I found visiting overwhelming prior to having a baby, because of the amount of stuff crammed into their house. Every surface was covered in stuff...old post all over the dining room table, dirty dishes all over the kitchen, etc. After I had my baby I no longer felt comfortable being their home because the baby would come back with black feet from walking on the dirty floors, clothes covered in dirt stains from crawling on their floors. Their loo is always disgusting and my husband and I have both had to ask them to clean the loo before we could use it because it was too gross to use.

Many years ago a neighbour used to allow her cat to urinate all over her house and never opened the doors or windows...I was asked to feed the cat for a few days whilst she was away and had to put a scarf around my face because of the stench in the house...she suffered with her nerves and depression so I never once refused or said anything...just tried to be a friend and support.....really sad

My house is spotless...I am a clean freak...mop through house daily..,.but I don’t mind visiting dirty homes if they are good friends....I look past the dirt......but then in a previous role as a community Mental health nurse I have visited some shockingly filthy homes so I guess I’m a bit desensitised....but I have taken my GD to a friends less than clean home....a bIt of dirt didn’t harm them
