Breakfast

My nearly 3 year old has become a real pain with eating breakfast in the morning. Doesn’t seem to want the usual toast, cereal, banana etc. I’m looking for ideas for something she can eat quickly when I’m rushing to get her out the door in the morning to get her to the childminder. Any ideas? I don’t like sending her out on an empty stomach

Breakfast muffins always went down well with mine, basically a banana muffin with blueberries (I didn't add sugar) half brown flour and topped with oats. They freeze well so I made 24 at a time and froze so I only made them every 2-3 weeks until they were old enough to locate the hiding spaces Grin

Crumpets? Scrambled eggs? X

Agree with muffins. Mine also likes baked porridge which is sliceable so quite handy. This might be stupid but have you tried not toasting the bread? Mine will sometimes eat bread when she won't have toast (... toddlers!). Bread, cheese and fruit is always popular because apparently she thinks this is a hotel!

My dd never had a sweet tooth especially in the morning. Breakfast for her was a ham and cheese sandwich.

Mine love breakfast burritos, they're easier to cook than they sound.
I usually make a load of vegetable filling and freeze it, it defrosts quickly in a hot pan, then all you need is an egg, a wrap and any sauce you want.

I remember a phase of 'breakfast ice lollies' when my DD was about 2ish. Basically a mix of Greek yogurt and fruit in the silicone moulds and frozen. She thought she was so lucky to be given ice lollies for breakfast....Grin
