My DD is 13 months old and gets horribly car sick if we drive for longer than half an hour. She has just gone in to a front facing seat and it has got worse not better Confused

Does anyone know a good place to buy a waterproof car seat cover? Or have any other tips for at least minimising the damage even if we can’t prevent it? I have a four hour drive coming up and am dreading what state she and the car will be in Sad

I would turn her back to rear facing if forward facing hasn't made it better, she is still very little to be forward facing anyway.

At least rear facing, its easier to contain and minimise what the sick will hit, so covers etc will catch most of it.

Minimise amount of food/milk in the couple of hours before starting the car journey

Towels, plenty of them. Over her, over the seat. Then you can bundle them up and put in a bag to go straight into the washing machine and replace. If there’s two of you, one sits in the back with her with a bowl and watches for warning signs. Keep the car temperature cool. Again if there’s someone in the back with her you could try the travel bands. It also might be worth talking to your GP and seeing if there’s anything they can prescribe.
