Mandarin mothers - Advice needed on subscribing to a Mandarin TV channel

I am Singapore-Chinese. My mandarin is not good enough for teaching my children, sadly.

I was thinking of subscribing to a Mandarin TV channel to get dcs used to listening to the intonations, at least until they can begin formal weekend lessons at 5.

Do you subscribe for it and if so, how useful do you find it?

Also, how do you go about subscribing for it? My cable package with Virgin Media does not offer foreign language channels. Am I looking at Sky? Does not have to be children's channels.

Thanks!

Sorry don't know anything about Mandarin TV. You can get Mandarin CDs and DVDs easily though. Like at
www.xihaha.co.uk/

The other chinese threads will probably have more information.
