Any ideas for isolating with 2 year old?

Covid positive with a 2 year old. Have done all morning in the garden (lucky to have one), just done dancing games on YouTube. I feel like shit now! I have 5 minute mum book but what else can I do to amuse DC? Already watched about 10 episodes of Love Monster Grin

Blow up a load of balloons.
Daytime bath.
Sofa soft play

Don't feel bad about the TV - it's really hard so do what you need to do.

Ooh good ideas. She would just love it if I took cushions off sofa!

If you're feeling well enough, I would take her out for a walk, I didn't realise people still needed to isolate.

It's no longer the law to isolate, as in technically you could be fined for leaving the house. But the public health guidance is you should isolate.

'While you’re no longer required by law to self-isolate if you test positive for COVID-19, you should still stay at home and avoid contact with other people. This helps reduce the chance of passing COVID-19 on to others.'

Dancing games good - if that is popular what about an indoor disco, shut the curtains, disco light or fairy lights, glow sticks, whatever you've got - dance around to some bops.

Bubbles. Indoor assault course. Marble run, or DIY equivalent with a tennis ball using whatever you have. Put a towel down and a washing up bowl of bubbles, give plastic toys a bath.

You don’t need to isolate, so a park trip would be ok. If you’re not feeling well- a load of toys on the floor and cbeebies won’t hurt, sounds pretty fab for a 2yr old!

Thanks all, great suggestions.

It’s still a legal requirement to isolate in our part of the UK, and I am always bumping into people I know round here!
