Party bag alternatives??

My daughter is turning 5 soon.

I’m looking for alternatives to the usual plastic junk in party bag?

I can only think of sweets (we usually end up chucking them too!) or books.

Just been to a party and they sent home seeds and a plant pot, which I thought was brilliant.

Any ideas much appreciated? Particularly cheap and easy.

Also the party is Lion King themed, so bonus points for anything that fits with that!! Xx

It was my kids party this weekend and we did party bags - he is 7. I’ve literally gone for not tat as such and it being under £1 per head. I had 20 to do bags for and it can be expensive very quickly. I’ve done the fancy ones in the past but when it’s been like 3 or 4 kids. This year:
Bought paper bags, filled with a bag of haribo, balloon, pencil and mini bubbles. Worked out 53p each. They took a slice of cake home too.

I was in two minds about buying little notepads and helium for the balloons, gave them unblown. Should have bought mini notepads to go with the pencil.
