Strong smell of wee

Hello,
Hope someone could help/advise
My DD (just 2) nappies have started to smell of stale wee!
We do struggle to get her to drink enough, I was worried she had a UTI but when I spoke to the doctors they didn't think it was a UTI as she wasn't ill in any way.
They said they would be happy to test a sample, I can't get one 😭
Has anyone else had this and it not be a UTI ?

Tia

It's probably just her urine is more concentrated as she's not drinking enough. Have you tried giving her some diluted juice?

Have you changed nappy brand? I had this with a supermarket own brand, so switched.

My boy had this recently for a couple of mornings. Really strong smelling nappies and a bad rash like it irritated him. I think he may just have been dehydrated. As he was absolutely fine otherwise and it’s back to normal now.

If you need to get a sample there’s a special collector thing you can use in their nappy - your GP can give you one.

Hi all,
We are currently giving her diluted juice just to get her to drink more. No change in nappies.
I ask the doctor for a urine collector thing but was told they are for babies so I couldn't have one 🙄
