Why has my four year old suddenly turned into the worst teenager? Is it normal for four year olds to be this difficult?

Sadly yes! After the terrible twos, the trying threes you then hit the let’s push the boundaries fours!!!!!
Persevere, be consistent and GOOD LUCK X

I had no idea. This has definitely been the worst so far. Hopefully this phase will be over soon it's exhausting!

It doesn't get better it just gets different. They exchange one phase for another throughout childhood! Wait til the joy of teens!!

Give the four year old social media and a mobile phone, a boy/girlfriend who might be non binary and a side of sexuality confusion, a treble dose of hormones, their freedom, exam pressure, diet pills, a part time job, near adult levels of responsibility, a BFF who self harms/might be pregnant/has been kicked out by their parents/likes to punch walls, hair dye, and some Smirnoff Ice and get back to me.

MarshaBradyo · 12/03/2022 12:41

What type of stuff do they do?

Wondering if similar to my four year old

SuperSocks · 12/03/2022 12:55

Is your little one at school OP? They turn into absolute monsters in reception - it's so very tiring, and all the rules they have to follow mean they act out at home instead!
