Hi everyone I had my second baby 8 weeks ago I had a little girl I also have a 1 year old son

Shes been unsettled since birth 2 weeks ago I spoke to the doctor who suggested reflux and give me carabel for her bottles
That has settled her downing bottles and being sick but shes still really hard to wind and when shes taking her bottle most of the time shes fine but then she acts like she cant latch and shes crying for the bottle but wont take it or she cant I really dont know
It's really hard as shes hard to settle and stay asleep espically at night shes up every few hours and stays awake for up to an hour sometimes longer
I'm going try get an appointment with the doctor
But just wondering anyone any ideas what's up with her

Tia

Sounds like my little girl who’s 4 months now. Although she would scream also whilst feeding and only take an ounce or two at a time. The doctor eventually put her on omeprazole which she has every day and she’s like a different baby now. It took a while to get the correct dose and I think time helped also.
I hope your little one settles soon, it’s really hard, especially when you’ve got another child to look after also 💐

I was thinking maybe tongue tie but since your lo isn't always falling off the latch I doubt it is this.
I find my lo falls off the latch/bottle when she's really had enough but seems to try soothe herself from wind.
Keep trying winding your lo, you might find the spot that does the trick.
My last baby was easy to wind, my 1st it took ages, but I had to make sure she burped before I stopped no matter how long it seemed to take.

Try "paced feeding", which is supposed to be like how a baby feeds from the breast, I found it really helped my lo with wind.

You probably know this already, I didn't a friend showed me, light taps on babies lower back and to the sides, rather than rubs, work better for winding some babies.
