Wild 2 year old... How can I help them?

Since my littlest was born my 2 year old has coped really well. Things were a bit shakey in the first few weeks when there were lots of tears from both of them but things settled down.
Over the last couple of weeks my first born seems to have gotten louder and louder and her tantrums bigger and bigger.
She gets upset and anxious very quickly and runs to me crying or screaming i need a cuddle mummy. Obviously when i can i give her a cuddle, but there's times i can't, like when im driving or literally serving food etc. When in the car and she can't reach me she almost hyperventilates she's so upset when i ask her why she is crying she says random things like "because Alistair (brother) is awake" or "im scared of the plug * - - when she is in the car??

Has anyone experienced this? Any tips? I try to give heras much attention in the day as i can, and do things just me and her. She's also good st helping with little brother.
She doesn't go to nursery, i sometimes wonder if that would make her more independent?
