Experience with a very vocal (!) baby

Hi all

My 8mo is sooooo loud and really really makes herself known if she doesn’t want to do something. For example, she screams when I changed her clothes, getting out the bath, getting in her snowsuit, getting in the pram, getting in the car seat, after waking up in the pram and she doesn’t want to be in it any more, etc etc. Her scream is very loud!! I have friends who’s babies have learnt to whisper while my LO has learnt to scream for fun (high pitched screams while smiling). I know nothing is seriously wrong as she stops as soon as the thing she doesn’t like stops. She will also happily do all those things if she’s watching tv (I’ve tried as an experiment but don’t do it as a habit).

Is this a phase or am I headed towards toddler years of my LO throwing tantrums if she doesn’t get what she wants all the time? Its very tough especially as I’m quite a quiet person!!

It's a phase but one that I've had on and off since that age. So again at around 2/3, then now again at 4. They realise they can make different sounds and can scream louder than they initially realised before and for different reasons. The older ages are easier as you can actually reason with them.

It does get better!
