Worried - DS 12 months still does not respond to his own name

I realise this is really late and am very worried about it.

In every other way he is fine and is in line with his milestones...I think...

He is a very active baby and does babble a lot but does not recognise his own name at all. Advice anyone?

did he pass his hearing tests as a baby?

is he prone to ear infections?

It may be worth having his hearing checked.

Hearing test was fine Belgo but they have only done one(here in Spain) when he was first born, he´s never had an ear infection and I am certain its not down to lack of hearing....

littlelapin that made me laugh

He does respond to other verbal cues but is completely oblivious to his name. I am a SAHM mum and address him by his name all the time and have always done so, it´s got me baffled...
