She sounds like she's getting ready for it but maybe not quite ready yet? If she's enjoying all the rotuines and things then let her carry on but don't sorry too much about getting her "trained" - she's still quite little.

I'm sure the will be others on here who say stick with it but, FWIW, I stopped and started again with my DS1 a few weeks kater (about 8 I think) and then it all went smoothly the next time.

There's enough stress in life with a 2 year old without giving yourself more

I'm currently on day 4 of the 3rd attempt to potty train dd. We're doing ok but I am scared to actually leave the house so life has become very dull .

Do you still put nappies on dd? (if not have you been housebound for 3 mnths?)

Milliec - if she is happy and you are, then let her carry on. Maybe try putting her in normal pants so that when she does actually wee she can feel the wetness and possibly put 2 & 2 together. If she gets upset by this then pop her back in pull-ups. All children potty train at different rates (I kept telling my FIL that it didn't go on my son's CV so I didn't really care how old he was, he was 2 1/2)

Scattyspice - I was scared witless about going out with my son as he couldn't hold it for any length of time. We still have an empty plastic bottle under his brother's pram in case he can't make it home from school. He is 4.6yr now and it is over half a mile walk from the school.

I braved it, went to a local shopping centre, took a towel, spare trousers/pants etc, plastic carrier bags for carrying any wet clothes and floor wipes The towel would be useful for mopping anything up that went on the floor.

I tried the whole pull ups bit but only for going out and he never told me he needed the toilet, he just used the pull-ups.
