5 Year Old Play dates

Hello!
I'm feeling like I'm failing my child because she wakes up every single day asking to have a play date.

My daughter is extremely social and has made many friends in her kindergarten class. I've gotten notes from her friend's Moms in her backpack with their numbers and I've started texting some of them and arranged a play date at a trampoline park once with a few of them so we could get to know each other a little, but none of them have made an effort to set up another get together since. We do have cousins we see and one of my friends has a daughter her age that comes over for play dates a few times a month.

My daughter asks every day if her friends can come over. I guess my question is how often should a 5 year old have play dates and as a very shy mother I feel a little insecure about initiating another play date. I haven't heard from the other moms --- maybe they didn't like me?

We have been crap at this due to lockdown and DH working from home (small flat so two children playing would be disruptive). I do think it helps if you can though - especially at primary, kids seem to play with who their mums arrange for them to play with, not necessarily who they are friends with in school.

I don’t think it needs to be all that often? Maybe one child each month or something.

I think every few weeks is ok. It has to work with your life too.
