Anyone have experience with there 7/8 year old needing braces?

They usually wait until all adult teeth are through but my LO has very stuck out front teeth.

Has anyone been referred to orthodontist and what was the plan?

my youngest started tx at 8. he had both a crossbite and an underbite.
they did what they could as he grew and matured. so his final treatments were still at 16-17 years of age.
they did some expansion initially, then needed to wait to pull some then needed to wait for them to be in for a full set of braces etc.
8 years, nice fellow nice practice good memories and decent teeth now as a young man.
