Im going to start weaning my LO tomorrow, she’s 6 months this week and health visitor has advised we start so we said we’ll start Monday.
I want to start preparing food ready for her like some fingers food and so on but what do I do if I prepare food (veg) and put some in the freezer so she can have through out the week and ready for me to take out and about so I’m not constantly in the kitchen cooking 24/7, I’ve looked online too and it’s not really give much info but how long will the veg keep in the freezer? And how would I heat it up also? Stuff like easy purées too? How long would they last in the freezer when I’ve made them in bulk? Thanks!

Are you doing blw (just finger food)? You only need to start with one or two meals a day. Things like banana, avocado, bread sticks. If you are doing purée then they will last 3 days in the fridge or 3 months in the freezer in reality they will have moved on to mush rather than purée by then.

Brill thank you! How long will the mush last? Is that the same as the purée?

Also I forgot to put in my first post, once it’s out of the freezer how long do I have to wait until it’s defrosted? And how long does it keep once it’s out of the fridge or freezer for me to take out and about with me?

I did blw (just finger food) with mine as I thought it was easiest. Actually that’s not true, I trued puree with DD2 but she refused them. I think it all depends on the child and some babies refuse the whole puree/mush thing anyway.
