Nipper Sport V4 - carrycot necessary for 15 wk old?

I was wondering if anyone has owned this running buggy from when their DC were quite young, and can let me know their experiences.

I understand that you can't run with it until they are 6 months old, but that for normal buggy use, there is an almost lie flat position that can be used from birth.

I just caved in and bought this buggy for DS as, at almost 15 weeks, the distance that I can carry him in the sling is reduced now that he is heavier. (My original plan was to use the sling until 6 months and buy the Nipper Sport then).

What I would like to know, is whether I should bother shelling out for the carrycot, too, or whether at this age he would be fine in the almost lie flat buggy position?

We have this buggy but only since she was about 8 months old. It does lie almost flat though, and I think it'd be ok, but a 15 week old might look a bit swamped depending on how big they are. It's also world facing.

We bought the cosy toes insert second hand from eBay. It makes it more snug.

We bought the mountain buggy terrain which is forward facing only and similarly can lie flat. We used this with our baby from birth and it was fine. We bought a foot muff and just kept her cosy with blankets. 15 weeks old would definitely be fine I'm sure!

We bought our nipper sport when DD was three months old. I shelled out for the newborn insert, and that was fine to use in combo with most reclined position until she was 5 months or so. Started jogging at 6 months and haven't looked back, buggy is ace! Definitely don't think you need a carry cot.
