Hi ladies I was eating my porridge this morning and it was okay for me to eat and wasn't hot for me my toddler wanted some so I gave him and he was fine on the first spoon and then I gave him another and he made a face like it was very hot and he was crying ever since none stop I'm not sure what to do I gave him calpol already earlier due to him teething so I can't give him that again should I give him some soothing gel on his tongue I was crying to do it but he wouldn't let me and kept pushing me away

He's been unsettled and just crying I'm soo upset with myself because I still should have cooled it for him

Cold drink with ice cubes in
ice lolly
even cold yoghurt

Mouths heal quickly, as long as it wasn't boiling hot it should settle quickly. But make sure you don't give him anything too hot for the next couple of days as it will remain sensitive to heat.

Yogurt or cold milk
