nutramigen milk and perfect prep

Hi

My 4 month old has been put on nutramigen milk for cows milk allergy.

The instructions are different to usual formulas, you can’t add to boiling water has to be room temperature, I was thinking of adding both hot shot and second part of water form PP machine then adding formula.

But not sure this is okay? I rang the nutramigen helpline and they said they couldn’t comment. But advised that you can make all the bottles up and leave in fridge for 24 hours, I was always told not to do this. They said you can also boil the water put in bottle then put in fridge and add formula later on.

I just feel like it would take ages to warm up and my LO screams for food when he wakes up for night feeds. I loved my PP machine!

Does anyone else use this milk? And if so how so you prepare the bottles?

Thanks x

My DS was on this formula and that's exactly what I did with the perfect prep - both shots and then added powder. Dietician said that's what she would do but had to be 'off the record'...

I use this for DD with the perfect prep machine.
I put the powder in, do the hot shot of water, mix and then add the rest of the water from the prep machine.
She is on medication though which needs to be mixed in hot water so we add this with the powder first.

We have had absolutely no issues. Once all of the water is in from the prep machine it is classed as room temperature anyway so you can just use the machine to dispense all of the water then add powder.

We did alot of research before getting a prep machine due to the instructions of making up the formulas we have tried.
It has been fine to use so far, no problems and DD is thriving.
