Small scar on face

Does any of your kiddos have scars on their face?

Few weeks ago an accident happened with my daughter which left 2 small scars on her face.

I know this is not the worse thing in the world but feel bad, and wondering if anyone was in a same situation and how the scar healed?

Thanks!

Yes! At the beginning of lockdown, my 2 year old was falling off the sofa, in my attempt to catch him my fingernail went into his cheek. It was very visible for a very long time, now almost two years later it is barely noticeable thankfully!

Knowing I had caused it made me feel awful, and it really didn't seem to be fading at all for a long time, but it is getting there so there is hope!

I must add I keep my nails short too! Not sure how it happened and looked so bad... they must be super crazy strong nails...

My youngest has a small scar under his chin from slipping and hitting it on a stool. It’s tiny now and has really faded from four years ago. I had to really look for it the other day.

Whereabouts is her scar?

I have a few scars on my face from when I was little - chicken pox, and cat scratch. They faded to silvery marks which only I can see. I love my cat scratch scar!

When she was 6 a bike handle bar went into dd's cheek. Looks like a smile crease now as a teen.
Not that she smiles much!!

Yep my 7 yo dd has a scar just under the outer corner of her eyebrow. She stood on an office chair at my parents house when she was 2. Fell off and hit her head on the desk. She doesn't even remember it is there.

When ds was around 5 he ran across the after school games hall with his hands in his pockets, fell and face planked a gym bench. Burst open the bridge of his nose and we could see bone, it was glued together and left a wide red angry scar for a couple of years, then a normal scar. By the time he was in secondary I couldn't see it unless I really looked for it.

Yes, my daughter has facial scarring from birth trauma (inappropriate use of forceps). Most people assume it's from chicken pox or don't comment. It's absolutely part of who she is and I think she's beautiful (obviously!).

Yep DD1 has chickenpox scars which are really prominent, a scar across her nose from an accident and a big birthmark on her neck. She hasn't had any issues. Sometimes she says other children ask what it is but that's as far as it goes. She's 8.

Yes DS has one on his forehead from head butting a wooden toy box when he slipped off a sofa at nursery

Happened when he was 4 (& he lived his Harry Potter scar!) but has faded over the years and not really noticeable unless you look carefully now he's 13

Bio oil once the scab has gone can make it heal quicker and can fade it
