So my 8 month old has had a temperature since Saturday and my thermometer was showing 37.7c but other then being a bit clingy she was ok. Yesterday I ended up taking her to the doctors as she looked pale and her skin was mottled. The doctors thermometer was showing 40c and the doctor noted she was breathing fast. We were went sent home as it didn't look like she was struggling to breathe and she was still taking milk.
I have been told it is viral but today she is on off napping all day but wakes every few minutes to scream.
She is not herself and even though we are seeing the doctor again later, I am worried we are going to get fobbed off with a viral illness. She is normally so happy but she is either screaming or snoozing on me. She knows how to self settle in her cot but yet again won't sleep for more then a few minutes. Calpol and calprofen aren't cutting it and she is clearly I loads of pain. Anyone else had experience of this?
I have only been back to work for 8 weeks and having to take the little annual leave I have left as she only wants Mummy even though I am clearly not helping
