Buying Birthday Presents For Friends

How do you play this? Obviously it depends on the age of the child. DD13 gets £5 a week pocket money & she’s not brilliant at saving it, although has got better lately. I usually buy a present & card for a friend if DD is going to their party but otherwise I say she needs to get presents herself. She’s just asked me to buy something for a girl I haven’t even met so I told her that would have to come out of her pocket money. What do you all do?

This is tricky ime teenage girls like to give friends presents/ cards I think its fine to say you can buy it yourself because you would be forever buying.
