Hiya,

Has anyone had experience with an extremely gassy baby?
I have had to change my little ones milk because of this and reflux but she will scream like she's in pain when passing wind.

She's changed from Aptamil to kendamil and the reflux has improved dramatically already from the two days she's been on it but she's still struggling with painful wind.
Any suggestions on how to help her?

I have a 7 week old and he gets very uncomfortable passing wind, mentioned it to my midwife in my discharge appt, GP and health visitor and all that has been suggested is massaging his tummy and bicycle legs - doesn't seem to help much but he is healthy and putting on weight so none of them were concerned. Might be worth mentioning it to your health visitor, are you due a visit? Mine came at 6 weeks.

I should mention, the issue with my DS is bottom wind rather than burpy wind.

I have just spent 4 nights in hospital with this issue, turned out cows milk protein allergy and we are on prescription milk now. Omeprazole has been prescribed too and this has madr a huge difference, i’d speak to your GP and see if they will prescribe a low dose for you
