Hello,
This is my first time posting but throughout my pregnancy I used Mumsnet as my ‘go to’ for advice.
I have a 9 week old baby girl. On Thursday she had her first set of vaccinations. Since Thursday she has had a temperature on and off, been very unsettled, crying more, very fussy, not feeding very well, pulling on & off the breast (she is breastfed) it takes about half an hour to get her to feed as she is crying and pulling away. We have been giving calpol once or twice within 24 hours due to the temperature. We took her to the GP yesterday who put everything down to the vaccines. I am concerned about the feeding side of things, would they vaccine make her very fussy at the breast & difficult to feed?
Thank you

From what I can remember with DS he was very unsettled for about 10 days after his vaccine and would refuse his bottle. We did also have the added complication of silent reflux causing feeding issues but I do remember it was especially bad a week or so after all jabs.

He's just had his 1 year jabs and is again refusing food and drinks. So I'd say this is normal, however, you know your baby best even after 9 weeks of being together. If you feel that something is really not right get in touch with your HV and/or GP again and push for your baby to be seen again. How it gets sorted for you Flowers

Meant to say - hope it gets sorted for you!

Hello,
Thank you for your response. Maybe it is all just down to the vaccine then. She was such a happy settled baby beforehand and now it just feels like it she isn't sleeping then she is crying. Fighting to get her to feed and then I'm worried she isn't feeding enough. She just seems so unsettled. We are on day 5 now so hopefully she starts to feel better over the next couple of days. Hope you & your baby are well. Thank you
