Breastfeeding

Hi was wondering if anyone else has had similar experience with breastfeeding.
My daughter is 7 weeks tomorrow and was born with a tongue tie which we had corrected when she was two weeks old! From day one she wasn't keen on my left breast! She lost more than the average 10% and then slowly started gaining weight. I was told to express and top her up with the expressed milk as she had stopped latching onto my left breast my milk supply has dropped twice now. She then started latching on and feeding from left breast but my milk supply has dropped again so expressing again. She is gaining weight but slowly. I really would rather not top her up with formula, unless I really have to.
Has anyone had similar experience and how do u get ur milk supply and quality stronger.
This is my third child and with my middle child I breastfeed till she was 2 1/2, with no problems. Iv seen a lactation specialist and she said I'm doing everything right it's all bubba that's not doing what she should but only on my left boob!!
Any advice or help would b appreciated! TIA

Tricky! My dd (now 19 months) always preferred the left and over time she stopped using the right entirely. I have no idea why, but I know its normal for them to have a preference. Even now sometimes I try and trick her and offer the right and she looks at me with actual revulsion on her face!
My boobs adjusted - the left became a super milk machine and the right sorta deflated but milk does stil come out. I think they adjust to need?

Have you tried a different positions? Maybe try rugby ball hold on your left boob, so that baby is angled the same way they would be if they were feeding from the right boob?

I think its normal for babies to favour one side, my baby will take from both but is far more relaxed and comfortable feeling from the left side.
