I'm proud of my son ...

No point in posting but I wanted to share this with someone. My son just turned 3, he always had a dummy to sleep since he was tiny. We were quite late to move him from cot to single sized floor bed but we did 2 nights ago and we also said it's time to give up the dummy. I was so so so scared but he's done brilliantly, no tears - he just accepted he doesn't really need them anymore.

I felt so proud and it made me realise how time flies and how big he's got.

Please tell me what your children did that you are proud of, no matter how big or small.

That's wonderful, what a lovely boy Smile

CrimbleCrumble1 · 22/02/2022 10:54

What a big boy he is.
Well done to both of you.

My boy got glasses. He's 8.

When I was prescribed glasses I bawled my eyes out at age 12.

He's so excited about them, looks after them, has taken to wearing them at school with no problem.

And he looks soooooo cute it kills me 😊

@rolypolydoly what a dude! Glasses are cool now! My brother hated his when he was young but I can't imagine him without them now, it's almost part of what he looks like if that make sense! He's 35 now ha!

After going to nursery two days a week for almost 10 months, my 2 year old ds walked inside without crying for the first time ever last week! He always enjoyed it once there, but drop offs were always horrible. So so proud of him!!

My dgs learnt to read so quickly and he's a voracious reader. Loves it and I'm so proud. He's 8. And he's picked up the rules of chess so quickly he beat me last week.

@Dillydollydingdong how wonderful! I was slow to learn to read and needed lots of help and I hope mine find it easier.

My ds7 won his first football game of the league today! Only been playing a month and scored 3 goals. In goal he saved lots and only let 1 in!!
He got a man of the match trophy!!

Ah what a lovely thread, needed that today!

Well done to your son, such a lovely parenting moment when something like this happens!

I am proud of my son today for going into the big pool and loving it! We had an accident a few months ago where we both fell into a river (traumatic, posted here about this at the time) and he had been cautious about water since. He went into the big pool with me today like it was no big deal and had lots of fun! They are such resilient little things, very proud!

I’ve been really poorly today (temp 38.2, weak, couldn’t even move) and my 21 month old DD has been so good. Normally she whines all day because she wants to go out but she didn’t. She kept coming up to me on the sofa, stroking my face and blowing me because I felt hot 😂

Proudmamma2 · 27/02/2022 21:03

So sweet @Vicky1989x

My DD (3) has just had her first "holiday" at grannies without myself or DH there and she's had a ball! I really needed the adult time, so it's been a fantastic rest for us and im sure granny has also loved it! Very proud of her for being good for granny.

My 2 and a half year old boy learnt his first sentences last week and said 'I love you' today.

SheeceRearsmith · 28/02/2022 00:19

Lovely thread. I’m very proud of my little 18 month old DD. She’s just an absolute sweetheart. She’s saying so many words now - she gives any word a try and is so interested in everything around her.
