Antihistamines for 4 month old

Hi all

I’m pretty certain my baby has an allergy of some kind. Baby has been unwell pretty much since born, always wheezy, congested, leaky nose, lots of mucous in throat.

Initially I thought it was that time of year and baby was just getting loads of colds especially because siblings attend school and nursery.

Is there antihistamines for a child this age? I’ll be phoning GP today but would be interested if anyone knew x

Ds was a year before they would give liquid antihistamines..

@Easterbunnyiswindowshopping how did you manage until then?

Have a read of symptoms of cow's milk protein intolerance/allergy and silent reflux and see if either sounds familiar? Could be simply picking up bugs from siblings and/or just small airways (normal in babies) but snuffly/sneezy alongside tummy symptoms could raise possibility of CMPI/reflux.

Antihistamines are off licence under age of 1 and generally wont be prescribed, except maybe as one off for a case of raging hives or along those lines
