9m old baby poo issues!

My DC 9m has recently been quite constipated and - sorry for TMI - did a poo last week like a large pebble that caused her some upset and I'm not surprised! Over the past few days, she has been straining a lot and passing more and more small poos. I wouldn't say they are especially hard but most of them are pretty small. Today she has probably done 8 or 9. She is formula-fed and we have recently changed her milk from Comfort back to normal milk but have done this gradually so it hasn't been a short sharp change. The reason for this was that the Comfort milk was making her poos very liquid, to the extent that we were having frequent leaks. She used to be on Gaviscon for reflux which balanced out the effect of the Comfort milk a bit but she no longer needs this and didn't seem to need the Comfort milk any longer either. She's also recently increased the amount of solid food she's eating after a slow start to weaning as she just wasn't very interested at 6-7m. Has anybody experienced similar with the pooing? I wouldn't say it is diarrhoea as her poos are hard to normal consistency but her bottom looks quite sore today, just from going so often, and I'm a bit worried. Any ideas? Is it likely to be her gut adjusting to more solid food? Thanks!

My DD went through the same at that age. Ella's prune pouches worked wonders.

Thanks, I'm using prune pouches so will keep going!! Did you also get the lots of small poos in one day thing?

Just curious, do you offer a beaker of juice/water all through the day? That might help too

Hi yes she has a beaker of water that she loves to drink so we're doing that. I don't give juice yet though.

My daughter is 13 months and has always had issues going to the toilet. There was a phase when she was screaming crying trying to get it out. Prune pouches worked sometimes but melons omg - live saver! Is your LO having finger food yet? I just chop her up some watermelon or cantaloupe when she’s having trouble going and it sorts her right out!

Thanks @Bento11, I'll try squishing some up for her or blending some and see how she gets on!
