Two year old constantly putting hands in mouth

Hi everyone , recently dd 2 has more and more started putting her hands in her mouth. She has a dummy that she has for bed time and naps . I’ve noticed recently she’s been chewing on her hands or putting them in her mouth. I’m trying to discourage this. At first I thought it was a nervous thing when she did it however she does it whenever she’s watching tv, or not playing . Is there any way I can discourgage this. dd has a few health complications and I worry about her picking up more germs . Thankyou

Are her molars coming in?

Could she be teething? Or maybe just a sensory thing for her. I wouldn’t discourage it, just make sure she washes her hands regularly.
