What do you do with old baby shoes?

Do people donate their kids’ old shoes to charity shops?

I saw a thread once that you should never buy used kids shoes because they mould to their feet, so what do I do with the ones I’ve amassed?

Seems such a shame not to reuse them in some way when they’ve not been used much. Surely a family who doesn’t have access to good quality shoes would want them?

I've sold/donated lots that were in reasonable condition.

I would say it depends on the state of them if they have been barely used then it's good to donate

Ours are always wrecked so they go in the bin! I've picked up some nice summer sandals in the charity shop so donate or sell if they're in good nick.

I've always given mine to the Salvation Army. Not all parents have the luxury of not having second hand shoes for their children. Good condition 'Premoulded' soles in the child's correct foot size are better than having to keep children in shoes they have outgrown because they can't afford to buy new ones.

If they are in reasonable condition then I put ours in the clothes bank bins. As pp says not all children will have the luxury of brand new.

When Dd2 was born I had an obsession with shoes for her 😂 still have if I'm honest.
I bought shoes from when she was still in her pram.
They were all good makes Lelli Kelly, Moschino etc,
I give all her shoes and clothes to a local charity that helps teenage single mums.
When Dd1 was small I got all her shoes and clothes from my niece who was a year older.

Just bought new school shoes in January for DD2 and she grew 3 cms and says the shoes hurt her toes did I mention she lost one shoe of the previous pair?!

Anyways, looks like those ones shall go to charity
