16 week old - one ear sticks out a bit, should we do anything?

It's probably really minor and we don't want to make a fuss about it but I also don't want him growing up being self conscious, so just wondering if we should speak to a doctor? Or just wait and see?

You could speak to a Dr about having it pinned back?

Just lay him down slightly on that side? Or pop a soft close fitting hat on! Very pliable at that age!! My ds had club feet. The consultant literally twisted them back round! Obviously when he let go they flipped back round! Was amazed!

I have seen families have good results with Ear Buddies, and the process hasn’t remotely bothered their babies. Might be worth a google - although for what it is worth both ears look perfect to me.

I used ear buddies on my DD but she was about a week old when I started. The later you start the more time they need. Ultimately you are basically paying for a very glorified bit of sticky tape, so you could, well, improvise. It would take months though and it's supposed to be on all the time - fairly soon your DS will be able to pick it off.
I'm not sure what you expect a Dr to do now. You can't have surgery until about 6/7, although earfold implants can be done from 4/5 - google it.

My DC had one ear sticking out like this. We did try ear buddies but they would constantly unstick so I gave up. Decided to just accept it and he is lovely as he is. Now at 2 it's barely noticeable actually so it's improved as he's grown.

I would wait. My DD had one ear that stuck out a lot more than the other from about 4 months old but they both evened out. She's 18 months old now and has 'perfect' ears 🤣
