Someone has just told me that the government have/will be withdrawing funding support for the promotion of use of washable nappies, does anyone know if this is true?

I haven't heard anything, but that means nothing. It tends to be down to local councils rather than a full gov't initiative though.

If it is true I will be campaigning my little heart out!

Not that I have heard of, I still accept the Lancashire County Council vouchers and there has been no news from them that they are stopping. I think it's just a bit of an urban myth that went round since the flawed study, however as Flame says, it's really the local councils that fund them, not central government, often fueled by the incentive of cutting down their landfill and hitting government targets for a bonus [cynical face]

I only wondered because someone said it to me and am noticing info on our local incentive scheme seems to be getting harder and harder for people to locate.
