Sibling rivalry 6 & 2

I've been struggling to get my 6 year son to get along with my almost 2 year old daughter. There's a lot of snatching, crying, telling each other off, and now hitting each other.

I have tried to separate them as soon as it starts to go downhill. I've tried to get them to properly share, but it's mainly my 6 year old who doesn't seem to listen. He now has started to hit her unprovoked which has made me unable to keep them out of sight which is difficult!

Is there any advice.

I am not sure that sharing at the ages will be voluntary, you will need to manage this with lots of supervision. Sorry!

Regarding the hitting, this should be avoided and ensure the kids are always supervised and intervene.

But take heart, siblings learn more about managing conflict than children can learn from us as parents.
