Tummy Time but Can't Lift Head When On Back, Reassurance Please

Hi,
My baby is almost 3 months old and is great tummy time wise in regards to being able to lift his head up and turn it both directions. The problem is he doesn't hold his head up when pulled up from lying on his back. The Health Visitor was concerned 4 weeks ago and I had another appointment today and they're still concerned so I have another appointment in 4 weeks time. They did tummy time with his there and he held his head up like he normally does so they weren't that concerned because of that but he just doesn't have the strength the other way. They said the only thing to do is keep on with the tummy time but he does tummy time fine, it's almost like he needs back time with his head unsupported but that isn't a thing. His head is 2 percentiles bigger than his weight and they measured it again today and it's still on the same percentiles so they're not concerned about that either but I don't know why his neck is so strong one way and not the other. Did anyone else have this with their baby? Maybe it's because his head is so big, I don't know, but I'm freaking out a bit as I just want to know my boy is okay. Thanks in advance and sorry for the ramble.

Following as I’ve noticed similar with my little one - but I’m not particularly worried.

I don’t think a 2 centile difference would mean his head was “so big” tho? Try and not stess and remember you can phone your HV at anytime to ask questions.
