Covid booster breastfeeding

Anyone had both jabs in pregnancy and now having booster too while breastfeeding? I have recieved the text and am 7 weeks post partum.

Baby has his injections next week so wondering if I need to space his jabs and a covid booster jab out or not?

Also anyone decided not to have the booster and rely on protection from just being double vaccinated now omicron is deemed 'mild'. My last jab was in September.

Not quite the same as you but I had both my jabs and booster while breastfeeding - my feeling was I need to protect myself for my child's sake, plus any antibodies I pass him through breastmilk are a bonus. I can't see any reason why you would need to space it out with his vaccinations as you getting vaccinated won't trigger an immune response in him, beyond the possible passive transfer of antibodies in milk

Yup, I've had both jabs and booster while breastfeeding.

I had two jabs pregnant and my booster when baby was 3 weeks and I’m breastfeeding- all totally safe and normal

I had all by jabs and booster whilst breastfeeding. First one was when baby was 1 week old.

All fine!

We’ve since had covid and it was vile. I hate to think of how poorly I’d have been if I hadn’t of had the jabs

I had both jabs while pregnant then booster while breastfeesing when baby was about 10 weeks old. I was hoping baby would get an extra dose of antibodies through my milk. I wouldn't worry about spacing the jabs out.

I had first jab while pregnant then second two while BF. I do not fancy getting covid while looking after a baby!!

Yes I had both jabs when pregnant and the booster while breastfeeding. Definitely take it. There is no evidence that it will hstm your baby but you might be able to pass on antibodies to your baby to protect them.

I don't think it makes a difference when your baby has their jab but you could ask the midwife, health visitor or GP.

Take the booster. If it's been more than three months since your last Jab your protection against COVID will have started reducing.
