Formula from online chemists…are they legit?

First time posting here and sorry if it’s been asked previously (searched through but didn’t find something too relevant). TLDR is that DC (3 months old) has been prescribed Nutramigen LGG 1 to manage his CMPA. We went private whilst waiting for the NHS appointment so for now have to buy the formula ourselves. We found several online chemists a lot cheaper than our local pharmacies, with £5 of more in difference per can, and it takes longer to order from our locals as the formula’s been out of stock everywhere. I was told that as long as the online pharmacies are registered with General Pharma Council they are legit. But slightly skeptical and just wanted to check whether anyone has used them / know more about this? How do I tell if the formula I’ve bought is authentic? These are the ones I’ve been looking at - chemist.co.uk, and chemist4u.com. Thank you and appreciate it so much.

I dont know, but take the private consultation notes to your GP and have them record the diagnosis on the system - that was you can get it prescribed. I work in a GP and this happens fairly routinely.

Thank you, yes I’m planning to do that. It’s just that our pharmacies around are out with these formulas too and there’s about a week’s wait until they’re back in stock. So I’m trying to see if there’s anything that can be done in between…:(
