Asthma and vomiting

Hey.

My LOs been diagnosed with asthma over the course of the last year, and recently was given the brown steroid inhaler to help.

She's never had an "attack" but gets breathless outside playing, and really tired, complains of a cold pain in her chest and side. Occasionally she'll take a headache after one of these episodes.

Tosay she got a bit wheezy quickly and the colour drained from her face but she looked flushed at the same time, said she felt sick but in her chest. Just wanted to lie down and sleep. Was like this for maybe 30 mins before she was sick. After she was sick she kinda perked up but asked for her blue inhaler as her chest now felt tight. So I gave her it and she's been fine, just tired (wanted to watch TV in bed instead of playing but chatting etc fine) and her wheeze has gone.

She has no temp.

Can a asthma attack present like this?

I don't know whether asthma symptoms are vomiting but when I was little my asthma was bad and I was sick frequently. Used to go to bed with a basin whether I felt sick or not.

On the other hand she could just have a bug. Sorry no help!

DS1 has asthma and when he was young would sometimes be sick. A doctor told me it’s because they’re producing more mucus during an attack - so it’s like they’re really phlegmy and thus makes them sick. Worth mentioning next time you see a doc though

Thanks everyone.

Sprung back to usual self today so I definitely think some chest issue caused it but I'll keep a eye on it
