Baby has been screaming for 9 hours

5 week old baby has been screaming since 3pm (now midnight). She won't latch to the boob for long without screaming and wriggling, won't sleep and is just going absolutely mental. Bouncing stops the screaming but that's not sustainable when parents also need sleep. Is this normal or should we get help?!

Hi OP, just wanted to say that I have seen you comment on another thread and saying about baby not latching on and crying etc, I would definitely get baby checked for tongue tie. My DS was bottle fed and he would just let the milk dribble out from the sides etc, due to poor latch and he also would cry and scream for hours and this was due to having terrible trapped wind and he also had colic, he had good nappies etc but started to fall behind with his weight and this was all because of tongue tie.

Oh thank goodness it’s just wind. Nothing better than an almighty fart. Good stuff!

Have you tried infacol. You give it just before a feed. It was a god send when my now 19 year old dd was a baby. There maybe something better now?

Oooh bycicle legs is good for farts. Lots of tummy time, infacol or gripe water. Hope you get some rest now
