My daughter is 15 weeks old and I'm giving her a feed now before bed. Bath is at 8pm, I get her up at 7am. Thinking of moving her bedtime forward an hour so bath at 7pm bed by 8pm as she has been a bit cranky the past few days and not enjoyed her bath whereas usually she loves it. Just wondering what time other people put there 4 month old to bed? Thanks.

An hour is a big jump for a young baby. Try 15 min later?

Sorry!! Back an hour, so in bed by 8pm instead of 9pm like it is now.

We kept her with us till we went up to bed till she was quite a bit older than that. They’re meant to sleep in the same room as other people till 6 months and at 4 months DD just nodded off when she liked on one of us and went in her next to me around 11 when we turned in.

My little boy is 4 months old and just this week gone into his own room. He hasn’t actually slept next to us since he was about 4/5 weeks old, he has been in his next 2 me away from us at the other side of our room as we kept disturbing his sleep with shuffling about etc and it seemed to work better. He goes to bed anytime between 7-8pm, bath first then bottle and bed. He doesn’t really sleep through but I usually only have to feed him once through the night. He is going through a phase of waking up a few times but does go back to sleep pretty much straight away.

7pm bedtime here for our 21 week old for the last 6 weeks. He really struggles to stay up beyond then! Try making 15 mins earlier each night for 4 nights and your wee one should hopefully adjust quite well

^ my baby is almost seven months and only now are we starting to try and put her to bed at about 9pm in her Snuzpod for this reason. Any earlier and she fights it.

I put mine down at 7 because I was so tired from waking up at night that I wanted to go to sleep by then! There was maybe a month when she was five months when I didn't need to go to bed that early, but used to go and read in bed from 7 (which I also enjoyed, then she turned six months and I no longer worried about leaving her once she was asleep.

I’ve put my now 7mo to bed around 7pm since he was 4wo. We aim for “in bed time” of 11-12.5 hours. I haven’t shared a room with him since 12wo (as was my decision, aware of safe sleep guidelines).
