ISA or bonds for child

I would like to open up a savings account for my baby that I put into every month however when I looked into it the interest rates are really poor. Would I be better buying bonds instead? Or any other options I'm not aware of?
What do other parents do?

You can look into junior ISA e.g. Vanguard. That's what we did. Just be aware it's stocks and shares so the money can go up or down. It's definitely for a long term investment. And the lo won't be able to access till they are 18.
