Hi,

My 8 days old new born constantly grunts and squirms when trying to sleep in crib. He has reflux, so slightly elevated the crib, which has reduced the reflux of milk significantly.

However the constant grunting is still there.

What should I do? He doesn't grunt or squirm when his in my arms.

My little boy did this and had awful reflux. Found it was down to cows milk protein and lactose allergy. At 10 after trying precribed gaviscon, omeprasole, thickener for the milk, infacol etc they put him on prescription formula milk and it got rid of all the reflux, no need for medication and no more grunting from the pain in his tummy.
It took a good 6 weeks for him to be symptom free but helped him so much.

I would definitely speak to your GP or HV about it. I hope baby feels better soon. 🤗

My little one used to do it and it was wind. Grew out of it quite quickly.
