Hi everyone
I’m planning my son’s christening and I wondered if you would share what you did/ any ideas or things to consider.
I have not been to many christening ceremonies and the two I did attend were followed by lovely, low-key gatherings of friends and family.
I’d like to do something really special and memorable afterwards. I don’t want it to be ‘over the top’ though. I was thinking:
Option 1)
40-50 guests.
Hiring a hall, decorate it, buffet/ bowl food from professional caterers, Spotify playlist for background music, a cake, space and toys for friends’ babies and children to play.
Option 2)
20-30 guests. Hiring back room in a pub, pub buffet food, cake.
Whichever option, I think this would be, probably, 3-4 hours excluding the ceremony beforehand.
Which option do you think would work best and be most appropriate? Do you have any ideas I haven’t come up with and/or potential problems to avoid.
Thank you
