Recommendations for stair gate for round spindles

As above, our staircase has round spindles both top and bottom. Can anyone recommend a stair gate that will be secure please?

We have gates in the doorways instead of on the stairs.

There are y shaped fittings that you can buy separately to attach a normal stairgate to round spindles. I got some Safety First brand ones and I think lindam also do them. Unfortunately they didn't work for my awkward shaped hallway though.

@Chely our stairs are in our living room so unfortunately that wouldn't work for us.

Are the spindles round all the way up, or do they have flat bits? Ours are mostly round, but have small square sections top and bottom, so we screwed a strip of wood into the square sections and then had a nice flat surface to attach the stair gates to.

We've got a dream baby retractable stair gate, they're a bit more expensive than normal ones but it's worked really well for us and it's easier to move out of the way when you're doing things like carrying a load of washing up and down.
