Toddler groups- what type/how many

Just curious to hear what others do..

What toddler groups do you go to and how many per week?

I work part time 3 days per week and have two days + weekends at home. We are signed up for a toddler sign language class on one of my days off, but tempted to look for something on the other day to keep us busy. We get plenty of time for relaxing at the weekend.

Just wondering what types of groups other parents take their toddlers to and how often in a week. I'm thinking I want to look for something more active.. dance/gymnastics/swimming etc but not sure what.

Generally I work 3 days. I take my son to a small soft play community type place with a friend one morning and the other morning we go to a playgroup, has general toys, snack etc. I like to do something with him most days it's flexible though so I don't have to go. We also do swimming on the weekend.

Work 4 days per week. We go to toddler gymnastics, which is more just structured soft play with a 'theme' each week which might be jumping, or balancing and the soft play equitpment is set up to encourage the movement.

When mine were little I found a playgroup to go too in my village which was good for getting to know parents with children the same age and whose children then went to the same preschool and primary school as mine. Also did rhyme time and story time at the local library with my children who enjoyed choosing books to take home afterwards as well.

I work 3 days a week. DD is 3 and we do a music class, gymnastics and she's just started a football class. She also does swimming lessons but on a weekend.

I work 2 days a week (Mon + Fri). Tuesday we have a swimming lesson. Wednesday is supermarket shopping day. Thursday we go to the park for a play date with one of my colleagues. I've given up on toddler groups for the time being. They all wanted sign ups, and were usually fully booked whenever I wanted to go to one.

The only group my toddler does is football which he loves.

I work 2 days (plus some evenings/ weekends as needed).

We go to a ‘baby’ signing class - it’s for up to 2 year olds, we could move up to toddlers from now though (18 months) but that falls on my working day so sticking with this for now as she still loves it.

I take her to a swimming class too - been doing it since she was about 5 months old.

Then we do a couple of church hall type toddler groups that are £2 or less, load of toys out and I get a cup of tea and a biscuit - there’s one on each of my non-working days - some weeks we will hit all three, some weeks we only do one, just depends on how we feel and what else we have on.

There’s another one that is a bit like tumble tots, we used to go to that quite a bit but I switched to the cheaper drop in church hall ones.

I work 3 days a week too. On Friday and Mondays I take my 21 month old to toddler world at the local gym and on Saturdays she does Little Kickers (expensive but worth it imo). Sundays we usually do stuff at home or I’ll take her to the park.

Work 2 days, DS1 is in preschool 3 days and I have one day just with DS2.

On one of our weekdays "off"we do a stay & play we can all go to and DS1 has his swimming lesson later on that afternoon. We do nothing specific on the other weekday - we might have a playdate, see GPs or go to soft play. DS1 goes to rugby class on Saturday mornings. DS2 does a tumble tots class on the day when it's just the two of us.
