Hi all!

Just looking for some guidance until I can get hold of the doctors on Monday.

My 3 month old has always struggled with constipation and the doctor prescribed lactulose which worked but it would take 2-3 days to kick in so he then recommended maybe trying some cooled boiled water.. I give her maybe an ounce or less of cool boiled water on a morning before her feed and by evening shes pooing 🙌🏻 I only five it every 2-3 days.

This is great but am I okay giving water every other day or 2 days? She's taking 6oz of formula every 4 hours and has plenty of wet nappies I just don't want to give it if I'm not supposed to for a prolonged period of time.

If she needs it give it. It is a really small amount of water and if it's helping then great.

If it starts to affect her milk intake then reduce the water and increase the milk.
